Childhood

Definitely the most represented scene from the life of Jesus birth, but sometimes watching the beginning of his life in a stable, surrounded by shepherds and simple people , also surrounded by Angels and Kings, I like to imagine what her childhood.

And I can see Mary doing chores, busy cleaning the food, going to the market with her baby in her arms, concerned that no ill, to not hurt himself, teaching him to walk, to say their first words, clapping their hands, singing songs and playing with him. I can feel what she felt as a mother, but not what it should feel like Mother of God while bathing or sleeping in his lap.

I also imagine Joseph , working between timbers in his workshop, making sure that in that humble home not lack most needed, smiling at Jesus crawl to catch pigeons, giving fragrant spirals recently pulled off a plank with brush and making a toy with pieces of wood.

And I see a group of children running through the streets of the village, chasing goats fleeing a scary... and among them is a boy named Jesus.

And I see more children playing in the river while going to fetch water... and Jesus is with them too.

And there are those who carry the dirty face and skinned knees... and those who go to school, and later to steal figs.

I see a child just like any other... but whose birth was announced by angels.
